I want to again thank all our backers. It has been a humbling experience to see so many of you supporting this project. For those of you that pledged for a poster, you can scoop them up at the theater. If you are in NY, I will personally hand them to you and for those of you in other countries we will meet soon.
Again, Much love

I want to fix you…
A true artist recognizes Baltimore’s ever changing ethereal realness, but so few have been able to articulate how its gay community majorly contributes to that fact. Usually its loudest cheerleader, and often its strongest foundation, gay Baltimore embodies the hope of the future- unbiased to color, gender and love. With respect and admiration for this open and uncommon city, Ira shows us what the alternative communities and Baltimore itself still need…… The recognition and support of some of its most profound inhabitants. We ask (though we ain’t too proud to beg!) for you to join us; first for a very important benefit on Valentine’s Day February 14th, supporting House of Ruth Maryland, and then for one of the incredible performances beginning February 17th and running through February 26th, with 8pm show times. After select shows, Ira and the cast will “talk-back” and take questions, or just hear you out… your thoughts on the performance and its motivations…. especially what it meant to you, and what it means to Baltimore. PLEASE feel free to join us and bring See you there! someone everyone you love. Meet and share in this journey with us. We’re looking to grow beside you in love and understanding as the beauty of Ira’s creation unfolds. Unique, intriguing, though-provoking and strong- we urge you not to miss She’Baltimore this February.

My scars are open
They burn while the air touches the inside of my skin
Exposed and vulnerable
To life The pounding of my heart Goes straight through my wounds And I can’t even recognize my own skin It’s the heart that’s heavy It is the mind that’s tired It is the love that gives me this body ache I’m aching I’m aching The start of a disease The growth of a virus The anti-biotic called love Is not working It will only last for a few days Until the symptoms pop up again Cause your at it again Not capable of holding Your own intentions My emotions Your frustrations Aggressions Unresolved pains And aches That have become contagious And are now my own sickness And I feel this weakness That reminds me of my mother Too weak to leave Too afraid to do it on her own My heart cries out For help And I hope someone is listening Cause even my voice is effected And sore By the screaming The crying The yelling For help Wanting so bad for this to stop But I’m lost In a hole I thought would be safe Underneath a rock But there’s no space So I hide Hoping no one would see me Hoping someone would hear me Until she calls again And says… Hush keep it down now, voices carry Hush keep it down now, voices carry Hush keep it down now, voices carry
